And now a word from our sponsors

Heh heh. No, I don't have any sponsors, though I was contacted by this company and I thought it might be of interest, maybe not so much to my regular readers (I know there are a few of you out there) but maybe to those who stop by in search of morcilla images (still getting plenty of those) or for information about traveling or moving to Spain with kids. (Disclaimer: I am not being compensated in any way for this post.)

So the company, Bluemove, is a carsharing company based in Madrid-- I had never heard of this, but apparently it is a popular initiative in many cities. This is what the person who contacted me had to say about it:

If you´re not familiar with carsharing, we are basically offering a more cleaner, more efficient way to move around and get to know Madrid without spending so much, it is a system that already well know in Switzerland, Netherlands, Australia and also the US and we are still trying to spread the word here in Spain…

We have a commitment to make Madrid more affordable and accessible to expats living here, and SPECIALLY, to people with children, who sometime need a car but can´t afford it, and don´t want to spend so much money on rental car.

It sounds like a good idea, and environmentally sound, besides. They also have a blog about sharing and sustainability issues (in Spanish.)

So, take note!

And now we return you to the regularly-scheduled program of moaning about the exam! (Yes, there will be more of that-- bet you can't wait!)
